Oncostat: from kit to report
1

Kit

Kit containing  blood collection tube is sent to doctor or directly to patient. Kits contains blood collection tube, spill-proof tube carrier, pre-paid priority overnight envelope and easy to follow instructions for blood collection and shipment.

2

Blood collection

Blood collection at doctor's office or clinical lab. No centrifuging, refrigeration or other pre-shipment processing required. Sample is stable for at least 96 hrs at room temperature.

3

sample shipment

Kit box with sample is shipped to our lab in Austin, Texas using the pre-paid priority overnight envelope included in the kit. Sample pre-processing starts within hours after sample reception.

4

Pre-processing

Addition of buffers, centrifugation, removal of plasma, CTC labeling with CytoTag non-magnetics nanobeads, incubation.

5

Automated Processing

Addition of CytoPull magnetic nanobeads, clustering reagent, CTC enrichment, fluorescent staining, incubation, washes

6a

pre-imaging
low resolution

Release of clustering nanobeads, addition of CytoHandle nanobeads, transfer to imaging cuvette, incubation in magnetic holder

6b

pre-imaging
high resolution

Release of clustering nanobeads, wash, transfer to optical plate, cell fixation to bottom of wells using proprietary protocol

7

automated imaging

High content screening scan optimized for resolution and multiplex requirements of different assays.

8

image analysis

Automated and semi-automated image analysis. Morphology and fluorescent stains used to determine CTC presence. Scoring of analyte stain intensities. Texture image analysis of CTC nuclei to score tumor burden.

9

Report

Easy to read report includes both an actionable summary of results as well as assay details and individual pictures of CTCs .
